Donate flowers for Santurary - Have you ever wondered how you could remember or honor someone special in your life?  Each Sunday, the opportunity is available to anyone to place a flower arrangement in the sanctuary to the glory of god and in honor or memory of someone special.  Anyone can donate flowers by simply signing up on the flower calendar located on the bullentin board next to the Pastor's office.

Helping out in the office - Debbie Nunley the office secretary can always need extra hands.  Just come by the office or call the office to ask if you can help out.

Manna Truck distribution - Harlem UMC offers special food distributions every other month throughtout 2008.  These distributions generally serve over 125 families each time and offer non-perishable items in support of these local households.  We need volunteers on Friday afternoons to help pack up the food, and on Saturday mornings at 8:00 am to help distribute the food.  Come by the church and help your fellow neighbor.

Angel Food Ministry - We are able to offer guality food to our local households thanks to the wonderful program of Angel Food Ministries.  For about $30, families are able to feed their families for the month.  Our ministry continues to grow as our numbers continue to increase.  This food is available to anyone no matter of financial status, ethnic, whether you belong to our church or not.  Please come by and volunteer your time once a month for just a few hours.  The spiritual gain is well worth the hours.

Summer Lunch Program - The summer lunch program was a huge sucess this year.  We served an average of 65 children a day.  We also gave away over 125 sacks of food to families of children we served.  That is a lot of family and children that would not have had food or anything to eat over the summer.  We made over 2,500 lunches this year, and a GREAT BIG THANK YOU TO THE VOLUNTEERS that made this possible.  Please come by and see what you can offer for next years program.
